Thanksgiving in Mississippi | 10 on 10 | Austin Family Photographer

This Thanksgiving we traveled to Mississippi where I grew up and my family lives.  I decided to document our Thanksgiving day for my 10 on 10 project.  (If you’re not familiar with my 10 on 10 project you can read more about it here.)  I have lots to be thankful for!  One of my two brothers was able to join us for Thanksgiving at my parent’s house.  My parents live on a pine tree farm in south Mississippi.  I love going there and photographing there…such a beautiful backdrop!

7am | the cousins had all been up a while enjoying each other

7:30 am | my brother cooks breakfast while my dad and niece watch

8am | playing in the mud puddles outside.  They came back in soaked.

9:00 am | breakfast

10:30am | cousins being sweet.  My niece and nephew were enthralled with my girl.

11:30am | my boy mashing sweet potatoes for lunch

12:30pm | my girl and my dad checking out the mac and cheese

2pm | my niece and my boy play on their scooters after lunch

3:3o pm | my nephew and boy play with my dad

4:15pm | my mom always requests a group image every time we all get together

6:15pm | my parents surprised the kids with a bonfire to roast marshmallows and hotdogs.  They had a blast.

Not the best image but it definitely preserves the memory.
