5 is a really big deal | Austin Child Photographer | 10 on 10

It’s the 10 of the month so another installment of my 10 on 10.  10 on 10 is a personal project I’m doing with other photographers.  We post 10 images from one day.  This month however, I’m cheating.  My boy turned 5 this past month and he had 3 celebrations!  I really wanted to document it here.  On his actual birthday, we went to his favorite restaurant for lunch, P. Terry’s.  It’s a local burger joint here he loves.

Then we met up with his best friend at a bounce house.  My boy’s best friend also brought along his mom and really cute baby brother.  On a side note, I was able to photograph this little guy’s birth and have been meaning to share some of those images.  It’s on my to-do list.   Then we all went to Amy’s Ice Cream/Phil’s Ice House for some more playtime and ice cream.

Back at home, we had a cupcake and opened a few presents and headed to bed.  It was a good (and sugar filled) day!

That next weekend we traveled to Houston to have a small family celebration.  One of his favorite gifts…a flashlight.

The girl was sick this weekend so she spent a lot of time cuddling.  Poor thing ended up with a 104 fever one day.  She’s back to her self now.

Then the next weekend we had a big 4 boy birthday blowout.  A few of my boy’s friends have birthdays in February and March, so we decided to do one big party.  The kids loved it.  Here my boy is checking out one of the cakes.

Please continue on to Cara Richardson’s 10 on 10 post here.  It will not disappoint.
